How we work

Our process, explained
without the jargon

Every client engagement follows the same four-phase structure. The details change based on your goals, your market, and your starting point. The structure does not.

Step 01

Discovery & Analysis

We begin every engagement with a structured discovery phase. This means analysing your existing search performance data, auditing your technical foundation, mapping your competitive landscape, and identifying the gaps between where you are and where you want to be. We ask direct questions and we want honest answers about your business goals, your past results, and what has not worked. This phase takes 5 to 7 business days and results in a written findings document you keep regardless of what happens next.

Step 02

Strategy & Planning

Based on the discovery findings, we build a prioritised 90-day campaign plan. This is not a generic list of tactics. It is a sequenced programme of work tied specifically to your goals, your market, and your current position. You see exactly what we will do in weeks 1 through 12, what we expect each activity to achieve, and how we will measure success. We present this and adjust it based on your feedback before any ongoing work begins.

Step 03

Execution & Delivery

This is where the work happens. Technical fixes go into your site. Content is researched, written, optimised, and published or handed to you for publication. Outreach campaigns run. Ad campaigns launch. You receive weekly status updates showing what went live and what is in progress. We do not disappear between monthly calls. If something changes in search or in your business, we adapt the plan and tell you why.

Step 04

Reporting & Optimisation

Monthly reporting is more than a traffic dashboard. We connect search activity to the business metrics you actually care about - leads generated, revenue attributed to organic, cost per acquisition in paid channels. Every report includes a written commentary explaining what the numbers mean and what we are doing about them. We treat reporting as a feedback loop, not a formality. Campaigns that are not performing get restructured, not just described.

Reporting

Monthly reports
that actually mean something

Every retainer client receives a monthly report in the first week of each month. The report covers what was done, what it achieved, and what we are doing next. It connects activity to business metrics - leads generated, organic revenue, cost per acquisition - not just sessions and rankings.

We include a written commentary with every report. If something is not performing as expected, we say so and explain what we are changing. If something is performing particularly well, we explain why and how we will build on it.

Reports are sent by email as a PDF. We are available to discuss them on a scheduled call or by email. We do not pad reporting calls with reviews of things you can see for yourself in a dashboard.

Every monthly report includes
Traffic and ranking summary vs. prior month
Content published and performance to date
Technical issues fixed and outstanding
Links acquired with domain metrics
Paid campaign performance (if applicable)
Leads and revenue attributed to organic
Next 30-day priority actions
Written commentary on what the data means
